basil & tonic

citrusy and herbal tonic drink made using Kåska Casual Spirit. low alcohol  – plenty of flavor.


30 ml (3 cl) Kåska Casual Spirit
10 ml (1 cl) citrus cordial*
handful of basil
plenty of ice
slice of lemon

how to make one:

fill the glass with ice. pour Kåska into the wineglass. measure citrus cordial to the glass. add a handfull of basil. fill the glass with tonic, 100-150 ml according to your taste. mix gently and garnish with a slice of lemon and basil. make another one for a friend and enjoy together 🍋🌸

citrus cordial:
mix 200 ml of water, 200 g of sugar and 20g of citric acid in a kettle and bring to boil while mixing, until sugar has dissolved. turn off the heat and let cool for a few minutes. properly rinse any excess / leftover citrus halves, ends, bits and peels you have lying around from all the epic cocktails you have been making and add them to the cordial. let the mixture sit for 2-12 hours. before use, remove and discard all citrus bits from the liquid, and voilá! your cordial is ready to use. keep refrigerated and use within 2 weeks. pro tip: try the cordial as an extra ingredient in a casual spritz or swap the sugar syrup in kåska sour with the cordial!
